A joint effort between my friend Morgan Currie & myself between 2001 & 2003..

A strange little film that could be described as if John Waters & Lars von Trier got together to do an adaption of Franz Kafka's "A Country Doctor."
Other influences were Federico Fellini, Harmony Korine, ect....

Zero Budget. Available Lighting. Non-Actors....

I'm still very fond of allot of the imagery we came up with...
but yeah....it's weird..

I like it anyway.

Hooray! Finally fixed the problem with my blog!
Now, - do I go back & update the past 24 months??
Knowing me, - probably..

And, - The day they took the Civic away...
I recently acquired a 2002 Ford Explorer..
& just in the nick of time.. the 90' Civic I had been driving for the past 10 years was on it last cylinder....
no a/c for 7 years, 1 of the 4 cylinders not firing, leaky radiator, drank oil, & 160k miles on it -
& it was just long in the tooth.
But it got me from point A to Point B for a long time.

Thank you 1990 Honda Civic.

I donated the Civic to the Kidney Cars Program.

In other news, I've recently remastered (kind of) "the light" for entry into 'On The Lot' - On the Lot is the new Fox reality filmmaking show, where filmmaker contestants produce short films to compete for a $1 Million development deal.....

I had a long over due hair cut today.
& It's been a long long time a-comin.
like - 20 years...

& I made a dumb little video of it.
Really, this video is lazy & horrible. But that's all i felt like doing:

I make tv commercials. Some big, some small. That's what I do.
Sometimes I have to pitch on a project which usually includes a big paper bid & pitch about your "vision" of the project...
- well here's something me & the other lads on my 'team'

did as part of a pitch on a gig in Jan. 06.
This is called an animatic. A video story board.
I do it often. If not for the client, for me & the crew....



Sadly, despite Matt & Sam's brilliant performances - We didn't get the gig.

I was there for 7 days last week with a bunch of old friends from film school AND *I had an *AMAZING* time*...

Yep! It's October!

Fall is in the air! The Mississippi State Fair is here!
My buddy Matthew Beall & I take our tradition ride on the Sky Lift, THE SLIDE, & eat questionable foods! I tried to make a binaural recording / walk through of the montage of wonderful sounds that make up any fair grounds, - but alas it was way to windy.

It took living here 4 years before I ever went to the MS State Fair in 2001, and even then, never being one who would usually go to and be able to enjoy a state fair (as an adult), it was only after I went down THE SLIDEfor the 1st time that I regained that childish excitement over fast rides, cotton candy, flashing lights, questionable foods & fun houses. - Reminding me of my childhood memories of the The Dothan Peanut Festival Fair. Now, I can’t ride everything enough….

Binaural Rita Rain Storm

Is this a podcast? I don't know...

But on Sept. 24th the back end of Hurricane Rita hit Jackson.
My power was out for two days.
When the 1st wave hit I went out on my front porch with my new home made binaural microphones and recorded the storm.
Binaural recordings are meant to be listened to exclusively with headphones. It's the truest type of stereo recording.

Footage from the Mississippi Coast...

On Sept. 21st MEMA (Mississippi Emergency Management Agency) sent me down to the coast in a helicopter to get footage of the how the clean up is going down there.
This was the 1st time I had seen the coast close up. Very sobering.
